Baby's room and San Diego

We just got back from our trip to San Diego last weekend. We had a great time!! We visited the San Diego Zoo, Sea World and met up with Jennifer (Aaron's sister) and her husband and kids. It was so great to see them. We went to the beach a couple times where we walked around and relaxed. It was beautiful. Very hot, but beautiful!!

This past weekend we painted the baby's room. I have posted pictures of before when it was my office and now with it being the baby's room. Aaron and I split the room in half and got it painted in one night. It is so good to have it done. We have lots of little things to do, but the big projects are done. I have also posted pictures of the basement. We finished the office and moved the furniture down there and got everything set up. We have been super busy, but we are almost to the point where we can just hang out and enjoy eachother before our little bundle of joy arrives.

Baby/House Update

We had our doctors appt today and everything is going great. We are measuring right on schedule. We start our birthing classes in September, and after our next appt we start going to the doctor every two weeks which means we are getting close!! We are headed to California in 2 weeks for our last pre-baby vacay. We are really looking forward to a break from all the work we have been doing on the house. You can see some of the updates on the basement. We are really close to being done. We are hoping to be done before we head out on vacation so when we come back we can start on the nursery.

It's a BOY!!

The Danner name lives on. We found out today we are having a baby boy!! Everything looked great. He is right on track. (Actually we are measuring 4 days ahead, which would be great for us if it actually stayed that way!!) We have some great pictures that they took during the ultrasound that we have posted. He was quite the show off, posing for each picture. We are so excited and we can't wait to keep you all posted as things progress with our baby boy.

Baby Update

I can't believe that we get to find out what we are having tomorrow! Time is going by fast. The tummy is getting a little bit bigger and Aaron has more projects going then he has time. We finally finished the hardwood floors in the living room and dining room which will be a life saver with the dogs and the baby. No more cleaning carpets!! They look amazing. I am so happy with the way they turned out and what an awesome job Aaron did. He has now started the room down in the basement which will soon be my new office. He has finished the framing and is getting ready to drywall. I think he is even surprising himself with his abilities. I can't wait til it is finished so we can set the office up down there and get started on the nursery. Will it be pink or blue?? We will let you know tomorrow. Love to all.

Baby

We had our appt last week and everything seems to be going good. We had the 2nd part of the sequential screening test (which was just blood draw) so we should be getting the results back on that any day. That was the test to rule out spinal bifida and Down Syndrome. We go back for our next ultrasound July 14th and which time we will get to find out whether it is a boy or a girl. We can't wait. We will keep everyone posted.

House Remodel

So it has been awhile since we have updated our blog. Times are busy right now. We are currently tearing up the carpet and replacing the floor with hardwood. We figured it would be much easier to maintain with 4 dogs and a kid. It looks great. I have attached some before and after pictures. I will update when the job is done.

Our new car

So it is official, we have moved into the Mom car. We went and traded the sports car in for the more practical SUV. I love it. It will be great for us and the baby because there is lots of space for strollers, carseats and all the other goodies. What a process though.... I hate dealing with car dealerships!

12 Weeks

We are just about out of our 1st trimester which we are so excited about. I am starting to feel a lot better, still a little tired, but a lot better than the beginning. We had our 1st ultrasound and the doctor said everything looked perfect. We go back on May 20th to have the sequential screening tests done for down syndrome and spinal bifida. We get another ultrasound which we are very excited about.

First Doctors Appt.

Today we had our first doctors appointment. Not to exciting for anyone other than me this time. We did blood work and a full exam and a little Q & A. It was fun to actually be at the doctor talking about having a baby, it kind of confirms everything! We have our first ultrasound next Wednesday 4/22. We will keep everyone posted on our progress. So after being prodded and pushed we finally did it!! We are part of the blogging world. Now that we are expecting our first child we thought we would keep our friends and families up to speed on what is happening in our lives. Look for new pictures and posts to follow
